This release fixes the title, description and address of translated term archives when Yoast SEO builds them outside the WordPress admin.

Translated term archives

• Yoast SEO's scheduled rebuild and its command line command now build a translated term archive from the translated term, instead of the source term.
• A second one-time repair clears a Yoast SEO value that WPML SEO 5.0.0 stored on a translated term when it matches your string translation, so a later edit in String Translation reaches the term archive again.
• Every term is marked for re-indexing after the update, so Yoast SEO rebuilds the archives that an earlier run built from the source term.

Also in this release

• WPML SEO no longer writes deprecation notices to the debug log on PHP 8.4.

This release stops WPML SEO from writing Yoast SEO values onto your translated terms, and repairs the terms it affected.

Yoast SEO fields on translated terms

• Creating a term translation in the WordPress admin no longer writes Yoast SEO values onto your other translated terms.
• Translated terms that show the source text in their Yoast SEO fields after the update to 5.0.0 are repaired once, so they follow your string translations again.
• A Yoast SEO value you typed yourself on a translated term stays as it is.

This release fixes several issues affecting redirects, sitemaps and translated term data when you use WPML SEO alongside Yoast SEO or Rank Math.

Yoast SEO Premium redirects

• Regex redirects now work correctly on secondary-language pages when your site uses languages in directories.
• Saving a translated product category no longer creates a broken redirect loop on sites using a different domain per language.
• Yoast SEO Premium's Redirects screen no longer rejects valid redirects for secondary-language content on sites using language directories.

Sitemaps

• The per-language sitemap list now appears on WPML → Settings → URLs and SEO for sites using a different domain per language.

Term meta and taxonomy translation

• Yoast SEO and Rank Math term meta fields, including category and taxonomy data, now stay correctly synced and indexed when you edit and translate terms.
• Yoast SEO term meta fields served from the translation are now locked in the secondary-language admin.
• Category slugs now translate correctly when Rank Math's "Remove parent slugs" option is enabled.

Author archives and schema

• Author archive titles, descriptions and URLs are now translated correctly for each language.
• A per-post Schema page type or article type setting now survives translation on sites that cannot reach WPML's online configuration.
